UNIVERSAL UNDERCOAT

  • A solvent based interior and exterior general purpose undercoat for use under decorative topcoats.
  • Apply between primers and alkyd enamel topcoats on exterior interior wood, hardboard and metal.
  • As a basecoat over correctly primed plaster to follow with enamel paint.
  • Ideal for use on suitably primed interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Apply between gloss enamels and emulsion topcoats, to improve intercoat adhesion for interior and exterior.

  • Conditions: Avoid painting in wet or cold weather. Minimum temp 8℃
  • Drying time: Touch dry 3-4 hours. Hard dry 16-18 hours at 25 degrees.

  • Previously Painted Surfaces:  Must be in sound condition. Apply 1 coat Versus Universal Undercoat and sand smooth after drying.

VERSABOND BONDING LIQUID

  • Clear Resin Based Bonding Liquid.
  • For use as a clear alkali resistant sealer on gypsum plaster, cement plater and porous, friable concrete surfaces.
  • May also be used as a sealer for Masonite hardboard.

  • Drying Time: Surface dry 2 Hours at
  • Hard dry 8 Hours at 25°ͨ.

  • Ready for use with roller or brush. Application by brush ensures penetration.
  • New Surfaces all surfaces must be clean and dry. Moisture content of new plaster must be less than  12%
  • Previously Painted Surfaces must be brushed down and any loose flaking paint must be removed.

PLASTER PRIMER - SOLVENT BASED

  • An alkali resistant solvent based penetrating primer for porous, friable and chalky surfaces.
  • A good quality alkali resistant primer for use on new dry surfaces such as cement plaster, gypsum plaster, porous concrete, rhinolite and glass stone.
  • For bonding and sealing on powdery, friable, very porous or stained substrates.
  • For application on fire or nicotine stained areas.
  • Ideal for both interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Excellent penetrating and binding properties.
  • Pigmented white – time saving when top coating.
  • Excellent adhesion.
  • Excellent alkali resistant properties. Protects subsequent coats against alkali attack.
  • Penetration into absorbent and chalky surfaces.
  • Excellent stain blocking properties.
  • Once sealed can be top coated with a wide range of Versus water and solvent based coatings.

  • Appearance: White.
  • Colors: White.
  • Density: 1.31 – 1.33.
  • Viscosity at 25ºC: 65 – 70 Kµ.

  • Flash Point: Flammable at 34ºC.

  • Method: Brush or roller.
  • Thinning: Mineral Turpentine.
  • Clean up: Mineral Turpentine.
  • Spreading rate: 10m ²/l depending on surface porosity and profile.

PLASTER KEY

  • Versus Plaster Key is Universal water based bonding aid.
  • Versus Plaster Key has been designed specifically for use in the building industry to bond sand/cement plaster and Gypsum plaster to smooth surfaces.
  •  
  • Improves non-structural bond of cement and Gypsum plasters.
  • No more hacking and chipping of smooth surfaces.
  • Bonding to sound PVA surfaces.
  • Easy to use.
  • Low VOC.
  • Surfaces should be free of loose particles, scaling of flaking materials. Wire brush and rinse the surface if necessary.
  • Soffits and vertical surfaces- Coat the prepared surfaces with Versus Plaster Key after dust etc. has been removed and apply a scratch coat whilst the Versus Plaster Key is still wet. Allow the scratch coat to dry and then plaster in the usual manner.
  • Where Gypsum based plaster is used apply the Versus Plaster Key to the prepared surface and plaster straight on to the wet Plaster Key finishing off in a single operation. Versus Plaster Key can be added to the plaster mix (10% of water content) to obtain a stronger bond Versus Plaster Key can be applied by brush or roller coverage ± 10m² per litre.

GALVANIZED IRON CLEANER

A non-abrasive acidic type cleaner for Galvanized Steel surfaces.

  • For cleaning all new and oxidized (weathered) Galvanized Steel prior to priming.
  • Type: Aqueous cleaning agent containing phosphoric acid.
    Appearance: Thin liquid.
    Colours: Blue-Green
    Water Based: This product is water based.
    Low VOC: This product has low VOC
    Flash Point: >100°ͨ
  • Mixing: Shake or stir well before use.
    Method: Bristle brush or Spray application.
    Thinning: No thinning needed product is ready to use.
    Clean Up: Water.
    Conditions: Surface temperature Min 10°ͨ Max 40°ͨ ambient temperature Max 40°ͨ.
    Drying Time: In coastal areas prime the cleaned surface preferably within 2hours or at
    the least 4 hours and in other areas the same day to prevent
    recontamination of the surface and the formation of rust.

    • Apply by bristle brush or spray application to manageable areas at a time leave in contact with surface for at least 1 minute.
    • Scrub off with bristle brush or broom and water to remove all trails of Versus Galvanized Iron Cleaner and other contaminations.
    • Check that the surface is water break free, if not or if still appears dirty re-apply
    Versus Galvanized Iron Cleaner and repeat the above procedure allow to dry.
    Prime the cleaned surface as soon as possible to recontamination of the surface and the formation of rust.

  • 5 litres and 20 litres
  •  Do not allow drying on surface if dry, re-apply and rinse off immediately.
    • Do not apply with steel or wire brush.

    CAUTION: Contains acid, traces of acid and cleaning agent remaining on the
    surface will reduce the adhesion of the primer. Versus Galvanized Iron Cleaner must therefore be thoroughly removed by brushing and rinsing.

GALVANIZED IRON PRIMER

A Versatile, premium quality anti corrosive etch primer for exterior galvanized.

  • Primer for correctly prepared Galvanized iron and non-ferrous metal.

    Thinning: Thinning not recommended. For conventional spray
    applications thin with 5 to 10% Etch Primer thinner
    Drying Time: Touch dry 1 hour at 23°ͨ
    (Recoating times will be extended during cool, wet or humid conditions)
    Cleaning of equipment: After use, remove as much product as possible, and then clean immediately with Etch Primer Thinner
    Substrates: Well prepared Galvanized iron and non-ferrous metals Ensure surfaces are pre-cleaned.
    Coats Required: Apply one to two coats Versus Galvanized Iron Primer depending on the severity of the conditions.
    Top Coat: Over- coat primer with two coats of selected Versus decorative top coat.
    Precautions: Do not apply during cold (below 10°ͨ) or wet weather.
    Not suitable for direct application to powdery or friable
    surfaces whether previously painted or not.
    Do not apply over rusty unprepared metal surfaces.
    Quick drying- avoid application to very tot surfaces.
    Not designed to withstand prolonged natural weathering.
    It should be over coated with conventional coatings within
    18-24 hours, particularly in marine atmosphere.

RUST CONVERTER

A high quality water based Versus Rust Converter with Primer properties designed to coat and prevent further or future corrosion.

  • Versus Rust Converter is intended for corroded surfaces or prevention of corrosion to new metal surfaces as a converter and primer.
  • Versus Rust Converter is ideal for any rusted metals e.g. Galvanized, Chromadec roof sheeting factory I-beams or structure steel.
